Terberg tractor deal for Stena Line

Finance company DLL worked with Stena Line to finance replacement of a total of 76 Terberg ro-ro tractors at six terminals in the UK and the NetherlandsJust before Christmas, DLL (De Lage Landen Leasing), which is part of the Dutch Rabobank group, reported that it had worked successfully with Stena Line on a transaction to finance the replacement of their fleet of terminal tractors in six in the British Isles and the Continent. The deal covered a total of 76 ro-ro tractors, which replaced older, mostly Terberg, machines.“Terberg is very proud to have Stena line as a faithful customer for over 30 years now," stated Frank Oerlemans, Export Director of Terberg Benschop. "The recent order for 76 tractors confirms that Terberg and Stena have a lot of faith in a future together."The tractors for Stena Line are packed with many options. This way, Stena Line makes sure the drivers are perfectly equipped for the job." The tractors can handle small wheel trailers with low kingpin heights as well as heavily loaded rolltrailers.Marie Dunkley, Country Sales Manager UK for the Construction,Transportation & Industrial industries at DLL said: “Terberg has worked with DLL before on larger transactions in Europe, and introduced us to Stena Line to structure this sizeable deal."Our specialist knowledge of the assets and the materials handling industry meant that we could provide terms that more general asset-based financial suppliers would have struggled with.”All the new tractors were delivered to Stena during 2015.
